WOD 12/14/08
Run: 1 hour Run = 7.64 miles @ 1:00:03 First time I’ve done an hour long run in a long time. It’s been months. It felt really good. Everything held up well in the legs. Well, at least until the cool down. That’s when my knee decided to start acting up. Hopefully it will be fine after tonight’s rest. Tomorrow will be 4 or 5 miles so we’ll see what happens...

I really fell behind on updating workouts.  Then again I’ve fallen behind on doing solid workouts as well.  Next week will be a big comeback week as I have a whole new regiment planned out to get a better balance between running, rowing, and lifting.  It’s ridiculously intimidating but if I put the time and effort in I can see some incredible results coming in the future.  Either that...

Workout: Row 5k (DNF) Row = 2k @ 7:52 My body was shot after the 3 workouts from the day before. That and I was dehydrated again. I wanted to do a 5k but had no moisture in my body. My mouth was completely dry after the first 500 meters and I couldn’t even produce sweat. That is a horrible feeling during a workout.

Run: 5k Workout: Row 2k Workout: 10x Push Press @ 95# + 20x Sit-up 3 rounds (quick but not timed) Run = 23:54, Row = 7:06 Nike+ basically lived its last day on this run. It made me run roughly an extra quarter mile while registering only a 5k. It was pretty obvious since I have a 5k loop that I do and it just had me keep going and going. Run: 5 miles Run = 42:27 Dehydration is not a fun thing. I think I only had one small glass of water in the morning that I did this run. Incredibly stupid on my part. I suffered for it. Didn’t help that this was the day my Nike+ sensor decided to crap out on me adding extra distance to my run.

Run: 4 miles Workout: Row 2k Workout: 5x Pull-up + 10x Push-up + 15x Sit-up 20 minutes, as many sets as possible Run = 33:47, Row = 7:11, Workout = 6 rounds + 5 pull-ups (DNF, got a phone call that cut off the last couple minutes) I felt I had been slacking so I did 3 workouts.

Workout: Row 5k Row = 19:16 Almost broke 19 minutes with this one. Started off waaaaaaaaaaay too hard though. Guess the adrenaline and testosterone were kicking in a little too much at the start having the girlfriend around for the first time to try out the rower with me. The first 500 meters was around 1:38 which is normally my finishing sprint pace. Just plain stupid…
