WOD 4/23/13
Power snatches at 80% of my full snatch was not happening. On the fifth one I caught it but my arms gave out while dropping it to my shoulders for the push press. The bar cracked me on the neck, bounced off and twisted my arms and shoulders back (the shock gave me a death grip on the bar rather than letting go). That didn’t feel good at all. The rest of the wod went fine.

WOD 4/21/13
My legs are done. They were shot after the banded deadlifts and split jumps the day before. I had no power in the snatch (first time in over a month I didn’t hit over 200# on a max day). The squats were a funeral for my legs. Just sitting at my desk for work today is nearly unbearable.
Skipped the met-con to haul all of our equipment to a bigger unit. That was a workout in itself. Pics to follow…

WOD 4/16/13
Those snatches were rough. The first two missed reps were on the full snatch after successfully completing the power snatch of the complex. I’m notoriously bad at stringing together the Olympic lifts. I bombed out on the last power snatch.
Obviously handstand push-ups are a weakness. Currently I’m incorporating them into my daily warm up to help with that. I’ve only been working on them for around two weeks and can already feel some good gains.
